Bronze artefacts

Bowls – these large, double-peaked cast bronze vessels which could be hung,  are characteristic of the metal workshops in the Nordic culture sphere between the 4th  and 5th Bronze Age eras. They are very rare finds in Pomerania and none have been found elsewhere in Polish lands. On one of these bowls prehistoric repair work is clearly visible.
Particularly valuable are two, three-part plate brooches that belong to the group of buckles or clasps for cloaks.   There are decorative schematic images of the sun and the prow of ships decorated with stylised birds on the metal bows of the brooches. It has not been ruled out that this particularly valuable bronze collection was buried between 900 and 700 B.C. as an offering to the gods or in connection with some religious practices that we are not aware of.
