Archive research showed that there had been a tenement house with a basement on the site of the excavation, in which H. Hetebrüg ran his jewellery and watchmaker's workshop. Pre-war advertisements in Lębork show that the workshop specialized in the sale of pocket watches, women's and men's watches, and also offered repair services. In addition, the store's profile was also expanded to include silver and gold jewellery, including earrings, engagement rings, elegant and contemporary brooches, watch chains, silver combs and tableware.
The Association of Jewellery Experts in Poland was invited to evaluate the stones, the expert’s opinion was that most of the stones are glass or synthetic imitations of gemstones. However, the collection also includes jaspers, citrines and ambers.
